A Shaded View on Fashion Film

Category: Advertising, Blog, Fashion Design, Film / Multimedia

She’s a fashion icon. She’s a fashion curator, a journalist and writer. She was a fashion designer, a costume designer, a fashion editor and talent scout for Hyere’s! Nowadays, Diane Pernet is the founder of A Shaded View on Fashion, (a design blog) and it’s accompanying film festival, A Shaded View on Fashion Film. Last week NABA teamed up with Pernet as sponsor alongside Vogue.it for the annual event. Awesome!

ASVOFF has come to critical acclaim for encouraging new perceptions and interpretations of fashion film by both emerging and established artists. It challenges the fashion and film industries by presenting work that fits outside the norm of both genres. Playing in all major cities around the world, the festival now boasts a line up of feature films, documentaries, conferences, performances and installations. The winners of the festival will be featured on vogue.it very soon so keep your eyes peeled. But in the meantime, since we’ve been supporters of fashion film on Frontier for a while now, check out this awesome Prada film by Roman Polanski with Helena Bonham Carter and Ben Kingsley!

Enjoy.
