Her name is Eugenia Loli and she hails from Greece.
Her background is in technology and she studied “Programming and system analysis” with a background applying her thinking to various projects including Artificial intelligence and  user interfaces.

Now a collage artist and sometime videographer Eugenia Loli’s collage helped me put into words why I am so fascinated with collage (especially hers…) For me, collage is fascintaing because I like the idea of recycling an image/images to create a completely new one! Hence why I adore Loli’s Modern Vintage collection, I think it’s interesting to reuse certain elements of a style or time so that, armed with another era’s gradients, photos, textures you can realise a vision of your own.

In line with my love for ‘taking things and making new things’ another thing I like about Eugenia Loli’s work is that she also takes elements from her role as a programmer and her interest in science fiction and Artificial intelligence and it is seen in her work. I guess, like my love for collage I also love that she has almost collaged her career, taking thinking from one field and applying it here means the creation of works such as Historical Record of the Mars terraforming or Fields of our Dreams both of which you can find here.
