Luxury Camping in Mexico

A weekend away here? Um, yes please!

Endemico Resguardo Silvestre, is an amazing new eco resort for Habita Hotel Group. Designed by Jorge Garcia, these little cabins nestle into the hillside of Valle de Guadalupe so that you can take in the full splendor of the of the view. And what a view it is.

What I like about this project is the simplicity and the humble approach that Jorge Garcia took in designing it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still pretty flash and is probably way out of my price range, but it’s not ostentatious which is so nice. He has allowed the environment to take charge and has produced something that is a companion to the natural elements that surround it. It’s something that you hear a lot of designers/ architects throwing around as an intention, but I think that the realisation of this may be harder to achieve than they promote it to be. I reckon Garcia has nailed it here.

Each of the 20 cabins comes with handpicked furniture, a private terrace and a clay fireplace. I would just love to sit out here in the evening sipping on good tequila! Anyone want to shout me?
