My friend who teaches game development and is a bit of an all round guru said that this work was incredibly easy and can be made in a really short amount of time – so generally not that impressed over all. But I don’t care what he thinks, I like it!

This work by LAB212 is a simple but beautiful interactive installation and it’s the feel that’s created here that matters, not the technology or level of difficulty in production.

As LAB212 describes it, ‘Starfield is an installation where a swing is used to create a large interactive starry sky’. Using Kinect (which some people are using with amazing results) the stars move with each swing. It’s a really nice idea. Simple, sweet, and effective.

I like it and would like to give it a whirl, especially with that nice tune playing as I swing.
