Mikey Please is an Animation director. One of the short films he’s made is the BAFTA award winning short The Eagleman Stag – the trailer is above. It has been described as ‘a black and white movie styled halfway between a cut-out paper snowflake and an ice sculpture’ by Vogue which I think is pretty spot on.
Mikey Please is a self-confessed unicorn healer and was granted a wish! I found this very entertaining to read on his website…. Aside from healing mythical creatures Mikey’s beautiful animation has seen him become well known and sought after, and he’s surprisingly young! (He’s 28).
What I like about Mikey Please is that while his work is interesting yes, he’s also a really interesting guy behind his work. Check out an interview he does with It’s Nice That on his top 5 books and also this here – that says he officially changed his middle name to Yes. So, Mikey Yes Please. Very funny!
